Extracurricular Activities

Extracurricular activities provide opportunities for students to develop leadership and organisational skills and to make valuable contributions to College life and the local community in many ways.

We encourage our students to learn more than just the fundamentals, engaging them in additional opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. We work to facilitate a wide range of extracurricular activities, catering for varying interests and abilities.

Extracurricular activities provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership and organisation skills as well as their self-confidence, enabling students to make valuable contributions to College life and the local community in many ways.

Hairspray

Creative and Performing Arts

The college facilitates clubs for art, choir, glee and design where students are able to develop their performing arts skills.

A concert band and liturgy music group are also available for students who wish to be involved in performances.

The college has a proud history of developing high quality stage production musicals, held biannually, the production is a fantastic collaboration between students, staff, parents and the extended community and is a wonderful opportunity for students with interests in performing arts to be involved in a large-scale production.

India Immersion

Religious and Faith-Based Experiences

The college offers a number of opportunities for students to further develop their faith and immerse themselves in different environments.

We facilitate an Indian Immersion program where students participate in fundraising to build a Marist sister school in Trichy. There is an opportunity for Year 11 students to visit the school and work with these students.

The Marist Connect and REMAR Program for Years 10-12 is a school-based Marist Youth Ministry offering students an inspiring and engaging way to live out the Gospel values. On top of this, a Social Justice Group and Environmental Club is run at the college which encourages students to become agents of change and serve others.

Chess

Academic Extension

The college runs a number of additional activities for students with academic aptitude who wish to further challenge themselves.

A chess club as well as debating and public speaking activities are regularly held for students at the college. Additional activities take place throughout the year which offer students the opportunity to extend themselves outside of their regular classroom activities.
