School Fees

Catholic schools receive funding from both state and federal governments as well as contributions from parents via the payment of school fees.

There are three levels of annual fees to be paid:

  1. Diocesan Tuition Fees set by the Catholic Education Office
  2. Diocesan Building Levy set by the Catholic Education Office
  3. Service fees set by each school

Catholic schools aim to keep their fees as low as possible, and can provide flexible payment arrangements for families. Students who meet enrolment criteria will not be refused enrolment because of a family’s genuine inability to afford school fees.

There are also sibling discounts and scholarships available.

  • Diocesan Fees
    • Annual Diocesan Tuition Fees

Annual Diocesan Tuition Fee can be paid upfront at the start of the year or as three equal instalments.  The fee is only charged for the first three (3) children currently enrolled in the diocese (in other words there is no additional Diocesan Tuition Fee for the fourth child attending a systemic school in the diocese or other participating Catholic schools – see “Sibling Discounts” below).  To work out how much the fee is for each child, check the table below.

Payment of Fees

If parents are experiencing problems, either of a temporary or continuing nature, which make it difficult for them to meet their financial commitment to their child’s education, they are to contact the Fees Office to arrange an interview so that an agreement can be reached on the payment of fees. As you can appreciate, all arrangements are made for one year only and MUST be renewed each year. This matter will be treated sensitively and with absolute confidentiality. Deferring payment beyond the due date should never be presumed. Such requests should be made directly to the Fees Office.
